Mountain Biking

Scenic riding

Cariboo Chilcotin Coast offers a winning combination of wilderness and colourful Aboriginal, pioneer and gold rush history. Ride past crumbling mining machinery, yawning canyons, alpine lakes and ancient hoodoos. Watch for Bighorn sheep, Mountain goats, wolverines and Grizzly bears.

A variety of terrain and trails

The Spruce Lake Trails, in South Chilcotin Provincial Park (a wilderness park), are rated moderate to extreme. Most trails are 20 km or longer. Wildlife, including many “big game” species, pops up everywhere. Some of Quesnel’s many loop trails are located in a provincial park that permits camping, fishing and swimming. Sheridan and Fawn Lakes are located in the beautiful Interlake District, a fishing hotspot. Sheridan has an extensive multi-use trail system built atop old logging roads, skid trails and game trails. Riders of all skill levels will find the 13-km, roots and rocks ridden Fawn Lake Trail a challenge.
