Artists

The fine light and outdoor diversity of the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast have inspired many.

Joe Plaskett and A.Y. Jackson (Group of Seven) vacationed at the Onward Ranch in the 1930's, influencing local talents including Sonia Cornwall.

Many of the region's artists such as Andrew Kiss, Roy and Olga Tomlinson, Randy Moe, Steven Mills and Claire Kujundzic are well received among North American and European aficionados. Native culture is well represented by talented artisans working in the West Coast and Interior styles.

Entertainment

Live theatre and fine musical and historical performances are staged by the region's amateur and professional theatre groups in Quesnel, Williams Lake, 100 Mile House and Barkerville.

Heritage

Museum exhibits feature Gold Rush History, railway history, ranching, cowboys, and First Nations culture, and other interesting facets of frontier and interior life.
