Galleries & Artisans

Artists and craftspeople

The fine light and remarkable landscapes of the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast have inspired the many talented artists and craftspeople who call this region home.

You can see their paintings, ceramics and fine handicrafts on display at public galleries and special exhibitions in Williams Lake and Wells.

You can also sign up for artist-led workshops. Aboriginal culture is well represented by First Nations artisans working here as well.

Station House Gallery

This public gallery, housed in a restored 1920 passenger train station, displays contemporary works by Cariboo Chilcotin Coast artists. Come visit the gallery, then browse the gift shop to take home a finely crafted piece of pottery, raku, weaving or leatherwork. There are also paintings and Aboriginal art made by regional artists and craftspeople.

The Station House Gallery is located in the BC Rail Station House in Williams Lake.
