Theatres

There is a thriving theatre community in the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region and a wealth of live entertainment to prove it! Some well known theatre groups in the area are in the communities of Williams Lake, 100 Mile House, Quesnel, Kersley, Bella Coola and the Sunset Theatre in Wells BC. Watch performances of all manner; dramas, comedies, musicals, and keep an eye open for touring companies and artists who’s productions are brought to local theatres by various arts councils.

A theatrical highlight of the region is Barkerville Historic Town, British Columbia’s largest heritage attraction which in its entirety is a colossal stage! Staffed with actors who double as tour guides, Barkerville is also home to the illustrious Theatre Royal which features historical productions similar to those that would have entertained its boisterous gold-seeking inhabitants over 100 years ago.
