The rugged coastline shows off its majestic scenery, with ancient rainforests, deep sounds and passes, and archipelagos forming a dream-like landscape. Salmon, halibut, cod, and other species dwell in the sounds, bays, channels and inlets.

Fish your way

Trolling the depths with hardware and bait is the traditional fashion for hooking into sea-dwelling fish. Many apects of fooling these fish with a fly are in the early, even pioneer stages, but fly-fishers will be granted excitement beyond compare after hooking a sea-fresh salmon while casting flies in the open ocean.

Accomodations

Facilities and accommodations in the central coast vary. Wilderness resorts dot many sounds and inlets, as do floating camps, catering to discerning guests. Saltwater guides are knowledgeable about fish locations, tides and currents, so the wise angler can spend guided days worrying only about what the fish are biting....hopefully their line!
