Golfing

Don’t forget your clubs…

Whether you are planning a golf vacation or just happen to have your clubs in the back seat, the spectacular Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region is quickly becoming recognized as a place to “Stay and Play”, not only for the outdoor adventure options, but for Golf as well.

Only 4 ¼ hours northeast of Vancouver, or 3 ½ hours south of Prince George, is the 108 Resort Golf Course. Graced by two lakes, and winding through lush evergreen trees, the 18 PGA approved championship holes (par 72, rating of 71) are enjoyable for the novice, but can also prove challenging to the expert with 6806 yards of undulating fairways and fast putting greens. Home to the BCPGA Seniors Open, their Clubhouse Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner while you relax and take in the spectacular views.

After you have experienced the links at the 108 Resort, make sure to continue your golfing tour at the Williams Lake Golf and Tennis Club. This beautifully maintained 18 hole, par 71 course (69.9 rating), is suitable for all levels of play.
Surrounded by the hills of the Chilcotin Country, scenic views are plentiful while playing over the 6272 yards of rolling terrain. After your round, hit the 19th hole, the Fox’s Den, where you can sit and enjoy a stunning view of the City of Williams Lake while enjoying a delicious meal and well deserved beverage. Visit Williams Lake Golf & Tennis Club for more information on golf packages and “Stay and Play” options.

As you travel north make sure to stop at the Quesnel Golf Club which has been in existence since 1956. The course was built on land that was once part of the Old Spring Ranch. The 6404 yard course is surrounded by beautiful vistas and a carefully laid out variety of trees emphasizing the fairways. The tree lined rolling terrain of the front nine's generous fairways allow the golfer big drives and requires accurate approach shots to smaller greens. The more demanding back nine begs for pinpoint accuracy from both tee and approach shots. Narrow and guarded by large trees, a meandering creek and wooded hillsides, errant shots are simply swallowed.
Enjoy tasty home-made food at the snack bar or a drink in the lounge, all for your pleasure and enjoyment.

A word or two on your excursion:

  • Tee times should be booked in advance of arrival, especially during July and August
  • Many courses have a dress code in effect
