Whale WatchingFurthest west to the Pacific Ocean, off the wild and mainly uninhabited shores of British Columbia’s Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region, some of the most immense and majestic mammals in the planet’s history make yearly migrations through the pristine waters in their quest for the abundant nourishment required for their survival. Whale watching season falls between the months of May, and late September. During this time, you can book a guided tour and experience the great privilege of witnessing these mysterious creatures in their natural habitat. Various species can be observed, depending on which part of the season you set out. Most commonly spotted are Orca, Humpback, and Gray Whales, at times seen breeching only meters from your boat! You may also glimpse Pacific White-Sided dolphins, and various other marine species frolicking in this lush environment. |
