E-News Fall 2007In this Issue
CCCTA Office is MovingFor anyone that has ever step foot into the CCCTA office, you can tell that we are getting a little big for our britches. With the expansion of the CCCTA team from 3 to 7, we have outgrown our small office. On October 1st we'll be calling #204 – 350 Barnard Street our new home. For those of you who don't know where that is, drive down Oliver street, turn left onto 4th (when you see Safeway). We are across from the Legion, just past the Atwood Medical Clinic and up from Cariboo GM. An Open House is being planned, but feel free to come by for a visit anytime! October Media, Travel Trade & E-marketing WorkshopsCourting the travel and media trade is an exciting and sometimes challenging affair. To help make this experience a little easier we are hosting some workshops in Williams Lake from October 23rd - 25th. Learn how cost effective and easy it can be to work with Media, the Travel Trade and E-Marketing. The Travel Trade and Media workshops will both be day events from noon to 4:30pm and the E-Marketing workshop will be in the evening from 7pm – 9pm. The day events will be $30 and the evening event will be $20, however if you register for all 3 events the cost is $65. If you have any questions call or email Geoff. New Product BulletinWe keep saying it, but it is really important to keep us in the loop with what's going on within your community and at your property. The New Product Bulletin is a perfect example of why we want and need to know what's happening in the great diverse and expansive region we all live in. What is the New Product Bulletin, you might ask. Well it is publication produced by Tourism BC that provides information on new tourism products in BC, such as new hotels, attractions, activities. The New Product Bulletin is produced three times per year April, August & November. Who uses it, what's it for? Well it is mainly used as an information source for overseas Tour Operators as well as our TBC Overseas staff and the travel trade media department. Buy BCwild Tour, Conference and Public MarketOn October 12th and 13th plan to attend the Quesnel Buy BCwild Conference, hosted by Royal Roads and the Quesnel Community and Economic Development Corporation. Learn about a wide range of forest products from harvest to market, effective business planning, exploring new markets, and approaches to accessing resources. For additional information on the conference or tour, contact April Cheng at 992.3522, 1-866-QUESNEL (783-7635) or acheng@quesnelcorp.com. Online registration at www.buybcwild.com.
